The village Abborrträsk with theirs approximately 170 inhabitant is located two miles south of Arvidsjaur in the middle of Norrbotten. It´s also located 100 kilometers from Skellefteå and Piteå. The history of the village goes way back until 1610 when the first settler came here.

There is one a grocer’s shop in abborrträsk that is owned by the people in the village, here you can also find a small, well visited café, pharmacy, fishing license, souverniers and fhishing equipment and an amazing service. Should your thermos be empty you can be certain that you can buy a refil cheap here.

The lake Abborrträsket is located just below our houses. A jig contest is arranged each year with a huge turnout. In the lake you can find big char and salmon trout. Boats are available to rent.

Right across from the store there is a temperate outdoor swimming pool, miniature golf, swings, fireplace, trampolines and a boulecourt that is free of charge and it is open for everyone. Its a real oase right in the middle of the village. There is also one football field and lighted (illuminated) ski (running) track.

Non-profit association usually arrange in the village, at regular intervals, like fermented Baltic herring party, autumn party, “palt” party, bingo, Christmas market, Walpurgis celebrate, community singing, theatre etc.
