Fishing in River Byske

Since we were kids, we have been fishing in Byskeälv with our parents that are bred next to the beautiful forest river that winds through the north and Västerbotten.

We have learned where the big grayling are and when they are biting best.

It is mainly grayling we fish in the upper part of the river, and sometimes even some trout.

A few salmon have also coming up the river in recent years.

Information about Byskeälven

In Byskeälven you can find char, grayling, salmon trout, perch, whitefish and burbot.

3 kilometers outside of Arvidsjaur the river starts its 140 kilometer long journey towards Byske wehere it ends up in Bottenhavet. It has a big hight diffrent with lots of great streams combined with calm areas. Just 10 kilometers from Abborrträsk we can find amazing streams.

Along side the river you can find remains of ancient Lappish culture. Memories from 19th century yards and villages in a culture landscape and memories from the forestry. Amongst other things you can see trails of the rafting a long the river.
