We take you with us to a pen for reindeers located in the beautiful deadice area Tjärnheden. Here you get to meet the lappish reindeers on really close distance.

A wilderness shop with genuine handicraft is located close by.

Information about the reindeers

In the autumn the reindeers around here walk towards the coast 100 kilometers away to find less deep snow. During the spring they return to have their calfs. During midsommer each year the calfs are marked. The fur is made of air filled hair that protects the animal against the cold, because of this the skins are great to sit on during the winter. The reindeer lives for 12 to 15 years.
